Witame dlo Wilno.  That's "Welcome to Wilno" in the dialect still
spoken by local descendants of the Kashubian Poles who first settled
these beautiful rocky hills in the early 1800's.  The Shrine Hill Lookout
has  a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, forests and lakes.  
The Lookout is also home to a special historic plaque that recognizes
Wilno as Canada's oldest Polish Settlement.  Our Polish heritage and
the magnificent church that is situated on the hilltop are two of our
"claims to fame."

The hamlet of Wilno boasts a fair number of business interests. The
unique culture of Wilno is further enhanced by a variety of local
artisans and craftspeople, eager to share with you, their time, talents
and wares.
